Jasper Dark Sky Festival

Jasper’s Dark Sky invites stargazing adventurers to get lost in the wonder of one of the world’s largest dark sky preserves. As daylight hours begin to recede, October is the ideal time to celebrate the skies with the annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival, an ever-growing celebration aimed at connecting all ages to our universe and beyond. Working with Tourism Jasper, we were able to develop an exciting entertainment program to activate what used to be one of their slowest weekends of the year. Keynote speakers have included Bill Nye the Science Guy, George Takei, Commander Chris Hadfield, and Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci from the TV show Mythbusters. Trixstar was involved with the Dark Sky Festival from 2014-2016 managing the contractors, talent buying, scheduling, on-site event management and execution, event safety and leading the setup/teardown.
