Founded in Edmonton in 2005, Trixstar Productions is a 360-degree live event management & consultation firm that activates both city and rural markets with festivals, concerts, brand activations as well as celebrity and speaker events. Working alongside organizations that want to create brand awareness, generate excitement and raise funds through impactful events and unique experiences. Trixstar’s work has included the Grey Cup Festival, K-Days Music Festival, Canadian Badlands Concert Series, Big Valley Jamboree, StagEX Music Festival, Soundtrack Music Festival, River Cree Resort & Casino, Soundwave, Edmonton Eskimos Halftime shows and the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino to name a few.
Although Trixstar Productions (CDN) offers many event related services, entertainment procurement and talent buying has been the major function and service provided. Trixstar Entertainment (US) will become the entertainment procurement and talent buying branch of the corporations. The primary focus of Trixstar Entertainment will be entertainment procurement, talent buying and consultation for fairs, festivals, casinos, sports organizations and brands across North America.
Trixstar Entertainment will be based in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville, being the home of many major artists, record labels, artist agencies and artist management firms makes it the ideal city to build Trixstar Entertainment from.
"The purpose of this US expansion is to firstly provide better service and opportunities for Trixstar’s already wide array of clients and secondly to access US based organizations that would require quality entertainment procurement services,” says Mike Anderson, President of Trixstar.
Brennan McFaul, who is the Director of Operations and lead talent buyer with Trixstar Productions, will be opening the Nashville office as he is promoted to Vice President of Trixstar Entertainment. “Fostering strong relationships with major US entertainment players has allowed Trixstar Productions to grow our access to top tier US artists year after year in Canada, it was time to take that growth to the next level and expand with an office in the US market. As we were going through the strategy for our expansion, Nashville remained at the top of the list to grow Trixstar Entertainment from. It puts Trixstar right in the heart of the entertainment industry and allows us to continue to strengthen our relationships with some of the top artists, agencies and management companies in the world, which will in turn provide our clients’ with unparalleled service, excellent pricing and access to all the top artists. I look forward to delivering entertainment that elevates to all our client’s events.”
Also included in this expansion is a new Calgary office being opened by Vice President of Trixstar Productions (CDN), Chris Schoengut. Expanding to Calgary with a new full-time office was a necessary business decision as Trixstar has many clients who call Southern Alberta home. This will create a tremendous service upgrade opportunity for Trixstar's current and future Southern Alberta client base. Last year’s Grey Cup Festival held in Edmonton was a massive success and heading up several of this year’s Grey Cup Festival events in Calgary was the catalyst in making the move.
"I have a lot of family in Calgary and have always loved this city and what it has to offer, so I was excited to make the move and open up our offices full-time here when the opportunity came up" says Chris. "We're excited to make some new connections with Calgary and area businesses and create some amazing experiences & events for Southern Alberta!"
