The Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring the VEGGFEST Music & Culture Festival back for it’s 3rd year on August 25 & 26 at the Vegreville Agricultural Society Grounds. The weekend is set to kick off with a rocking Friday night headlined by Randy Bachman. Few artists can claim to have made a bigger impact on popular music than Randy Bachman, widely regarded as the "architect of Canadian rock n' roll," His list of unforgettable anthems turned pop-culture touchstones includes such hits as “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” "Taking Care of Business," "Looking Out for #1" and "Let It Ride" for Bachman-Turner Overdrive; and "American Woman," "No Sugar Tonight," “Undun” and "These Eyes" with The Guess Who.
Joining Bachman on Friday evening will be Saskatchewan natives The Northern Pikes and Edmonton’s own The Unlisted.
Saturday’s festivities will culminate with a performance by decorated country music superstar John Michael Montgomery. John Michael Montgomery has turned an uncanny ability to relate to fans into one of country music's most storied careers. Behind the string of hit records, the roomful of awards and the critical and fan accolades that have defined his phenomenal success lies a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and his proven knack for picking hits like “I Swear,” “Life’s A Dance” and “Sold”.
Leading up to Montgomery’s performance and hoping everyone will be ‘getting rowdy’ that night will be multiple CCMA Award Winning Artist, and Langley BC’s very own Aaron Pritchett
Saturday will kick things off with reigning ACMA Female Artist of the Year Trinity Bradshaw and Vegreville’s own local legends, the Off Ramp Boys.
Vegreville's Pysanka, the largest Ukrainian Easter egg in the world, was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the RCMP in 1974. 40 years later, VEGGFEST was created to celebrate the rich history and heritage of "the big egg" and its significance to Vegreville as well as the history of the RCMP. Proceeds of the festival will go towards maintaining and preserving this landmark. Come celebrate history with a weekend of music, entertainment, and culture!
Single day tickets are $59 and weekend passes $99, and are available online at veggfest.ca. Festival camping will be sold separately through the Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce. This is an all ages and general admission event.
