The La Glace & District Agricultural Society and Big Country 93.1 present:

SMALL TOWN BRINGDOWN
Celebrating 100 Years in La Glace

The Washboard Union, Charlie Major, and Matt Patershuk
Saturday, May 5, 2018 - 7:30 PM

Brought to you by The County of Grande Prairie No. 1 and Capstan Hauling Ltd.

Reveling from the success of the Big Valley Jamboree Small Town Saturday Night Concert in La Glace in April, the Ag Society has decided to hold an annual concert in the Hamlet to raise funds for the construction and operation of the organization’s recreational facilities.

The La Glace & District Ag Society looks forward to bringing another musical event to The County of Grande Prairie No. 1. The Small Town Bringdown will be a show for all ages that the Ag Society hopes will draw residents from all over the county who may not otherwise visit the hamlet of La Glace. As was the case with the Small Town Saturday Night Concert in April, the size of the current facility limits the number of tickets available, an obstacle that the Ag Society aims to overcome with the construction of the new Regional Recreation Centre in La Glace.

The 2018 Small Town Bringdown will feature headliners and 2017 CCMA Roots Group of the Year The Washboard Union, Canadian country music legend Charlie Major and La Glace’s own Matt Patershuk.

Eight time Country Music Award winners from Vancouver, BC, Aaron, Chris, and Dave of The Washboard Union have had threetop 10 singles in Canada with “Maybe It’s the Moonshine”, “Shot of Glory” and now “Shine”. Having recorded their latest EP In My Bones at the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville, Tennessee, The Washboard Union is a band that you simply have to see live.

Having sold nearly half a million records in Canada alone, throughout his career Charlie Major has won three Juno Awards, seven CCMA’s, recorded seven studio albums, and released more than twenty singles. A household name whose hits are known to many,“It Can’t Happen To Me”, “I’m Gonna Drive You Out of My Mind”, and “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” are just a few concert goers can dance the night away to.

Wrapping up his Canadian tour later this month, following the release of his latest album, Same as I Ever Have Been, Western Canada Music award nominee, Americana artist Matt Patershukwill open his hometown show. Matt’s unique mix of Honky-Tonk, Blues, Celtic, and Folk will stay with you long after the music stops.
