The Pint Public House sports pub locations in Edmonton, Alberta and Winnipeg, Manitoba activated their grand openings and NHL season openers by bringing in famous local sports celebrities from the Oilers and Jets. Hundreds of fans flocked in for meet & greets and autographs from local heros and legends.

Grant Fuhr is a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender in the NHL. He is best remembered for a play for the Edmonton Oilers in the 1980s. He won a total of five Stanley Cups and was a six time All-Star. He set a number of firsts for black hockey players in the NHL, including being the first to win the Stanley Cup and being the first inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Glenn Anderson is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, and St. Louis Blues. Anderson was known to have a knack for stepping up in big games, which garnered him the reputation of a "money" player. His five playoff overtime goals rank third in NHL history, while his 17 playoff game-winning goals put him fifth all-time. During the playoffs, Anderson accumulated 93 goals, 121 assists, and 214 points, the fourth, ninth, and fourth most in NHL history. Anderson is also first all-time in regular season game winning goals in Oilers history with 72. At a young age, Anderson admired the European aspects of the game. He was known to have a liking for participating in international tournaments, more so than his NHL contemporaries.

Dale Hawerchuk played 17 seasons in the National Hockey League and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001. Hawerchuk was drafted 1st overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 1981, and became the youngest player in NHL history to reach 100 points, a record since broken by Sidney Crosby in 2006. His incredible freshman season was good enough to win the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s Rookie of the Year. Dale played the majority of his career with the Winnipeg Jets, but also played for the Buffalo Sabres, St Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers. The Toronto born Hawerchuk also represented Canada on the international level. He played for his first home country in the 1987 Canada Cup and was named Team Canada’s MVP with a goal and 2 assists in the decisive third game of the finals. Dale announced his retirement from the game following the 1996-97 season at the age of 34. He retired with 1,409 points, placing him 17th on the career NHL points list.
